Systems for Makeup Artists
Show brides your best work, and let the details arrive ready to quote.
Wedding season can mean a 5 a.m. call time for a bride and six bridesmaids, with new inquiries waiting when you finally sit down. Many leave out the date, the party size or whether they want airbrush. We build makeup artists a portfolio site that shows your range and helps every inquiry arrive with what you need to quote.
Common challenges
What slows down Makeup Artists
"Are you free June 14th? How much for me and five girls?"
Every bridal inquiry can turn into a long thread before you've even checked the calendar, and brides tend to book whoever gets back to them first.
Bridal work mixed in with everything else
Your feed holds soft-glam brides, SFX looks and lip swatches. A bride browsing late at night mostly wants skin that photographs well in daylight.
Travel fees nobody understands
Vineyard wedding an hour out of town, 6 a.m. start, early-call fee, travel past city limits. When those charges first appear in the final quote, they can feel like a surprise even when they're fair.
Trials that never turn into bookings
Someone books a trial, loves it, then gets busy. Without a simple way to lock the wedding date and take a retainer, a lovely trial doesn't always turn into a booking.
A Google profile that hasn't caught up
You do mobile work and a studio day once a week. Your listing may still show a salon you've moved on from, and reviews from your best season are spread across different places.
The solution
The system we'd build for you
Galleries split by the work you want more of
Bridal, editorial, events, grad and lessons in separate sections, photographed in natural light where possible, so the right client sees the right work first.
A pricing page with bridal parties in mind
Bride, attendants, mothers, lashes, airbrush, touch-up kits, early-call and travel fees laid out plainly with 'starting at' pricing, so everyone knows what to expect.
A date-first inquiry form
Date, venue or town, ready time, number of people and services wanted, captured up front. You know in one glance whether you're even available.
Trial and lesson booking
Trials and one-on-one lessons book through the app you already use. We can work alongside tools like Square or Acuity, linked or embedded on your site.
Retainer and contract info, written once
Your deposit, cancellation and travel policies on one page you can link to, so the contract stage isn't the first time she reads them.
A Google profile that matches reality
Service area instead of an old salon address, current photos, and a direct path to leave a review after the wedding.
Recommended package
Website Only
A freelance artist working out of a kit bag rarely needs logins or a CRM. A lovely portfolio, clear bridal and event pricing, and an inquiry path that captures the date first will do the heavy lifting.

An example
What it could look like in real life
An illustration of how it could work. The business and details are made up for the example.
Picture a freelance artist near Kelowna who does mostly vineyard and lakeside weddings, plus a few grad and photoshoot days. Her inquiries come in through DMs, texts and a contact form that only asks for a name. We build her a four-page site: bridal gallery up top, a party pricing page with travel zones, and an inquiry form that asks for a date and headcount first. Trials book straight into her calendar app, so she can check availability before opening the message.
Questions we get
FAQ
I don't have a studio. Can I still show up on Google?
Yes. Google lets mobile businesses list a service area instead of a street address, so you appear for nearby searches without publishing your home address.
Should I list bridal prices or make people inquire?
We usually suggest 'starting at' prices for the bride and each attendant. It helps people self-select, and you still quote the final number once you know the details.
Can people pay a retainer through the site?
If your booking or invoicing tool takes deposits, we connect it where it allows. Otherwise the site explains the retainer clearly, so it's expected.
