Systems for Retail Boutiques
Help shoppers fall for the racks before they find parking.
Shoppers check your hours, your style and what's on the racks online before they head out. When the photos are a few seasons old or the social page has been quiet since the spring sale, it's hard for them to picture the shop you've worked to create. We build boutiques a site that feels like walking through the door.
Common challenges
What slows down Retail Boutiques
"Do you have this in a medium?"
Calls and DMs about one specific top you posted Tuesday. You check the back and call them back, often between customers at the counter.
Holiday hours that didn't update everywhere
Inventory days, a long weekend, the Sunday you closed early for a trunk show. When hours online are out of date, a loyal customer can end up at a locked door.
Your online store and your shop don't match
The online shop shows last season's stock, the till has this season's, and the website is a homepage with a logo. Customers aren't sure which to trust.
Events that deserve a bigger crowd
Sip-and-shop nights, sidewalk sales, a designer pop-up. Posted once to stories and gone in a day, so regulars who'd love to come miss it.
The solution
The system we'd build for you
New arrivals page you can update fast
A simple page or embedded feed of what just came in, so regulars check it like a habit and walk in asking for it by name.
Brands and categories pages
The labels you carry, the sizes you stock, what you're known for. This is how people searching for a specific brand find you instead of the outlet mall.
Shop online button, where it makes sense
If you sell online already, we link your store cleanly from every page. If you don't, we make that clear and point people to the shop floor instead.
Events page and sign-up
Trunk shows, sales and seasonal events with dates, plus a sign-up form so customers can get a heads-up by email. You send the news; the list is yours.
Visit page that gets them through the door
Parking tips, transit, nearby landmarks, accessibility and gift card info. The details people need to decide this is today's errand.

Launch
A boutique needs a real storefront online: new arrivals, hours, events and a path to your online shop if you have one. Launch gives you a proper multi-page site and Google presence without software you'll never log into.
Popular add-ons for Retail Boutiques
Wherever you are
Just starting, growing or decades in.
Whether you haven't opened yet or you've been at it for decades, here's how we'd help at each stage.
Starting out
Just an idea, or brand new
Moving from weekend markets to your first storefront? Our Start Your Company option gets the brand, website and Google listing ready before the doors open, so opening week has a proper online home.
Growing
Busy and getting busier
As you add labels, sizes or a second location, the brands pages and events list grow with you, and the sign-up list becomes a direct line to your regulars.
Established
Years or decades in
Your regulars have been coming in for twenty years because of the feel of the place. We bring that feel online gently, keep the till and routines you trust, and update at your pace.
An example
What it could look like in real life
An illustration of how it could work. The business and details are made up for the example.
Take a women's clothing boutique in an older Halifax shopping street, carrying Canadian labels and a few local makers. The owner posts arrivals on social media, but people searching Google find old hours and a few photos of the storefront at night. We put together five pages: a new arrivals page she updates from her phone plus a brands page, an events page with an email sign-up and a visit page with parking tips. We refresh her Google profile and connect it to the site. The next trunk show has a lasting home online.
Questions we get
FAQ
Do I need a full online store?
Not necessarily. Plenty of boutiques do better pushing people in the door. If you already sell online, we connect to your store where it allows it. If you don't, we can build the site around in-store shopping and add a store later.
Can I update new arrivals myself?
Yes. Adding photos and a short description takes a couple of minutes from your phone. Or send them to us as part of your monthly edits.
Will it work with my point-of-sale system?
We work alongside tools like Square or Lightspeed. Where your system offers an online catalogue or shop link, we connect it. You won't need to switch systems to get a website.
Is an email list worth it for a small shop?
For events and new arrivals, yes. It's a list you own, unlike followers. We set up the sign-up; any commercial emails you send should follow CASL, so we build the consent checkbox in.
